Participating in The Innovators Society is a unique experience that follows a five-step process.

November 9, 2017 – January 9, 2018

Nonprofits with an innovative approach to reducing the stigma associated with mental health apply and will be selected on a rolling basis starting November 9. With only six spots available, early submission is highly encouraged. Innovations will be selected by February 13, 2018.

February – May 2018

Six innovators are selected to participate in The Innovators Society 2.0 accelerator experience. With the support of professional coaches, innovators attend workshops and practice sessions to prepare for the Community Pitch Showdown.

June 5, 2018

The innovators present their promising, but not yet proven, innovations at the Community Pitch Showdown. This event empowers more than 200 community investors to cast votes in real time and allocate $450,000 in Community First Foundation grant dollars.

July – December 2018

The innovators engage in a period of focused, high-impact coaching to accelerate their innovations.

December 2018

The accelerator experience concludes with a celebration event to award a $50,000 grand prize to one innovator.
