About Russell
Russell joined the Board of Directors at Community First Foundation in January 2016 after serving as a Community Committee Member on the Foundation’s Governance Committee. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee, and as the chair of the Governance Committee.
Russell is an attorney at Ireland Stapleton in Denver where he has practiced law since 1998. He represents clients in business deals and disputes and in estate planning and probate. Russell has a passion for creating connections and partnerships between nonprofits serving the Denver community.
Russell received his J.D. at University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his A.B. at Dartmouth College.
Community Participation:
Russell has served on the Rocky Mountain Regional Advisory Board of the Institute of International Education and as a trustee of the Metro Denver YMCA. He has chaired the boards of several organizations, including:
- Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver
- The University of Denver Sturm College of Law Alumni Council
- WorldDenver
- The Downtown Denver YMCA
