Community First Foundation is proud to be a leader in helping nonprofits build endowments. These long-term funds are invested for the future needs of an organization so the good they do can keep going. Endowments also provide a steady revenue source, allow donors to leave a legacy and convey stability, fiscal responsibility and prudent planning.
Our Incentive Grant Program (PDF) > helps organizations with funds at the Foundation build their endowments. Choose from three options. We also fund nonprofit programs within these three focus areas: 1) promoting mental wellness, 2) strengthening nonprofits and 3) honoring our heritage in Jefferson County.
The Foundation partnered with Red Rocks Community College to create the Nonprofit Pathway certificate program. This higher education opportunity is a one-year certificate program designed to prepare individuals to enter the nonprofit sector, provide additional training to experienced professionals and ensure Colorado’s nonprofits have access to a skilled, inclusive and diverse workforce. Ask about scholarships available to the staff of nonprofits with funds at the Foundation.
ColoradoGives.org is our online giving website. It helps hundreds of local nonprofits attract donations by featuring in-depth profiles about their work.
Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Colorado Gives Day 2018 raised $35.1 million for 2,481 Colorado nonprofits in 24 hours. Since its inception in 2010 the event has raised more than $217 million to support local communities.
