Community First Foundation announces the Take a Hat Off Grant, a new open and competitive grant opportunity for Jeffco nonprofits.
“We’ve all said it! I’m wearing too many hats,” said Jaime Aguilar, program officer for Community First Foundation about the grant that opens April 4 and aims to award 40-50 grants of about $15,000 each in June.
“There are many reasons why people feel like they are doing it all and it’s an especially common sentiment in the nonprofit community,” Aguilar added. Nonprofits often haven small staffs or lack the expertise or money needed to accomplish their missions. Sometimes it’s because there just aren’t enough hours in the day, or maybe they don’t have the right tools or partners in place. Whatever the reason, this grant is designed to Jefferson County nonprofits solve those pesky problems that prevent them from pushing projects across the finish line.
“This grant is designed to provide a little support so they can take one of those hats off and get some help where they need it most,” said Aguilar.
To help nonprofits prepare their applications, the Foundation is hosting a webinar on April 14, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Register here
Community First Foundation hopes to strengthen Jeffco nonprofit capacity to support organization’s abilities to develop their teams, plan for the future, and ultimately, make good happen for the communities they serve.
