Colorado nonprofits benefit each December from Colorado Gives Day, a statewide giving event supporting more than 3,400 local nonprofits. Last year, the event raised $53 million on Colorado Gives Day, and more than $76 million throughout the year. Giving through ColoradoGives.org isn’t limited to just a day since the online platform is available at no cost for Colorado-serving nonprofits 365 days a year. Enrollment for nonprofits interested in using the tool is now open.
“We’re excited to be expanding our eligibility criteria to welcome more Colorado-serving nonprofits to Colorado Gives 365,” said Erica Thornley, vice president of product development for Community First Foundation. “We’ve made it easier than ever for nonprofits – big and small – to get on board and begin using the tools and resources available to them at no cost.”
Community First Foundation runs the free, year-round Colorado Gives 365 program and Colorado Gives Day to support more than 3,400 nonprofits. To use the platform or participate on Colorado Gives Day, nonprofits must be serving Colorado and have a designated tax status of 501(c)(3) with a public charity status of 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2).
Organizations interested in participating in Colorado Gives should submit the registration form and will be notified immediately if they satisfy the tax and public charity status requirements.
